So is anyone else absolutely convinced that it’s really a chilly September and someone’s just playing a really big practical joke on the world? How could the year have flown by so quickly? How could two weeks from today be Christmas and it’s even less than that until Hanukah starts?

But, until we hear that it is a giant conspiracy, according to the calendar the holidays are fast approaching so we need to make sure we’re ready for it. I know I’m sure not, how about you?
Now's the time to do that final list check. I'll wait. *humming something cheerfully holidayish* Are you done? Did you check it twice, because that always seems to work for the jolly guy. No? I’ll wait again. *humming again – what IS that song? Now it’s stuck in my head, darnit.* Oh thank goodness you’re back! I missed you! Okay now, did you check? Have you forgotten anyone? Did you get something for your family, friends, teachers, hair stylists, bosses, secretaries, dog walker, house keeper, neighbor, mail carrier, piano teacher, babysitter, dance teacher, coach, host or hostess, and anyone else you want to treat this time of year? Did you remember stocking stuffers, too?
If this quiz has you grinning at your e-mail smugly, then what kind of a pod person are you? Christmas is still two whole weeks away! On the other hand if you're like the rest of us normal people - stop laughing, I could be normal, I choose not to be - you're nowhere near finished.
