A boy angel plays in his pyjamas and nightcap, resisting sleepiness and bedtime. This little drummer boy is excited and wide-awake on Christmas Eve. Inside Version 1 is a monkey, reminiscent of little boys' Christmas wishes: mechanised monkeys pounding tiny drums and bashing tin cymbals, and old-fashioned Sock Monkeys. The interior of the Infinity Version features a rattle with the gift tag "R to C." The rattle is a gift from Rose, David Lawrence's eldest daughter, to her new baby sister Catherine.
