This box figurine is the second piece in the Hi-Jinx series. It depicts David Attenborough (“DA”), a well-known naturalist, interviewing penguins. Overwhelmed by thirty penguins, the photographer, soundman, and narrator seem to be reaching the end of their patience as the animals take over. The narrator is holding the mouth of one penguin shut so he can talk, while a bird picks his pocket. The parka-clad soundman has made a friend who has found an interesting place to warm up. The mouse is nestled on the backpack where a penguin is perched. Inside are eight eggs. The inside of the soundman’s hat reads “buy me” and “Antiquark.” Other birds include one wearing medals of honour, one taking pictures, another dressed in goggles, scarf, and waist coat, another holding a water bottle, and one smoking a cigar. The “ALR” on the hot water bottle stands for Andrea Louise Riley (Peter’s wife). The hallmarks on the base include ©, No. 2, Antiquark, and PC 94 U.K.
