Jacqueline Collen-Tarolly was born and raised in Colorado and now resides in Los Angeles. Jacqueline’s inspiration to paint fantasy art started when she was a teenager. She says she was always the outsider, the misfit and that no one else she knew spent afternoons sitting in the trees talking to the little wild animals, or looking for faeries. From that she learned to hide that part of herself to most people, but that is what caused her to start drawing and then later painting. She says, “I think it was a way for me to express that part of my life without fear of rejection.” Many of her paintings are exclusively inspired by her own horse, Pagan, or one of her other horses.
What else can I say about these amazing faeries? If you've seen them in person, you know how well they're made and how delicately and perfectly they're finished. If you haven't, what are you waiting for! Haven't you heard me talking about how beautiful they are on all the other Dragonsite pages? Aren't you people listening? Um ... as I was saying ... Jacqueline Collen-Tarolly seems to have all the beauty and grace, with a pinch more whimsy and mischievousness than some of the other artists. Too cute!
