When Lisa Yashon at Harmony Ball decided to sell their Harmony Kingdom archives, that was a quick yes from me!  This piece comes directly from the manufacturer, and has been checked for damage, arriving in the original box.  So glad to have these great pieces back!  ~ Jules

“Meezer Teasers”, a fixed edition of 400, is Peter’s first ever Siamese cat model. The name of the piece derives from the loud, low-pitched voice of this species – known as “meezer” – from which they get one of their nicknames. The exact origins of the Siamese are unknown, but they are believed to be from Southeast Asia. Edward Blencowe Gould, the British Consul-General in Bangkok, is said to have brought the first pair of Siamese cats – Pho and Mia - to the UK in 1884 as gifts for his sister. In 1878, President Rutherford B. Hayes received “Siam” as a gift from the American Consul in Bankok. This was the first documented Siamese to reach the United States. The “19” inscription is a reference to Hayes, the nineteenth U.S. president. “Jason” was the name of a Seal-Point Siamese that appeared in a UK children’s television program called Blue Peter, beginning in 1958 and running to this day. Many Siamese cats used to be cross-eyed and had kinks in their tails, traits that have been largely bred out. The interior portrays an original cross-eyed and kink tailed specimen.
