Jim Shore Hot Chocolate Gnome Figurine - A Cup of Christmas Cheer
I have questions.
First of all, where did this little gnome get those fabulous fuzzy slippers?
Second, is that mistletoe on his nightcap?
And third, why does he look like he's having a considerably more relaxing Christmas morning than the rest of us?
Seriously. Look at him.
He's got his Christmas pajamas on, a mug of hot chocolate in his hands, and absolutely nowhere he needs to be.
I think he's figured something out that the rest of us haven't. 😂
This little fellow is A Cup of Christmas Cheer, part of Jim Shore's Heartwood Creek collection. He's just 4 inches tall, with the traditional rosemaling, patchwork patterns, and hand-painted details that make Jim Shore's creations so recognizable.
I love the way Jim Shore mixes old-fashioned folk art with these wonderfully whimsical little characters. There's something nostalgic about them, even when the character in question is a gnome wearing fuzzy slippers and mistletoe on his head.
And really, if that's not Christmas spirit, I don't know what is.
