Once upon a time ... In a galaxy not so far away ... A crazy lady had a really crazy idea.
19 years later she's somehow still having crazy ideas, but thankfully all of you have come on this journey with her! 'Cause lord knows, she wouldn't be here without you.
(Ok, enough with the third person.)
So for those of you who don't know the story, when I was 17 I did something wild and crazy. Because I was such a rebel, this didn't include piercings, tattoos or running off to join the circus, this was something even crazier: I bought a store.
It's amazing to realize that I signed the papers 19 years ago today, on 10/13/1997. To quote a famous band, what a long strange trip this has been ... and it's not over yet!
I've always been so very fortunate to have the support of my Mother, Jill, throughout the years. See? neither one of us look a day older! (... that's our story and we're sticking to it!) ;)
I've also been blessed with the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all over the world in the last 19 years. I have dear friends who started out as Reps, Vendors and Customers once upon a time. I truly appreciate each and every one of you who has made my crazy idea last this long!
Here's to 19 more!
